Don't Look Down, Mr. President

Tonight the Associated Press report said, "A defiant President Bush warned Democrats Tuesday to accept his offer to have top aides speak about the firings of federal prosecutors only privately and not under oath, or risk a constitutional showdown from which he would not back down."

Yeah, yeah, we heard you, big guy. What else you got?

Bush talking tough to Congress at this point is reminding me of Saddam Hussein acting like he was in charge while standing on a trap door with a rope around his neck. The long fall caught him by surprise too, though everyone else in the room saw it coming.

It's easy to talk tough when the aides won't be under oath and if your not looking down.

Good one! Thanks for stopping by.

At this point I see the on going war as another Vietnam. You take Nixon on that note, when we had enough we where ready to impeach him, taking the cowards way out he quit before that became a reality. Then you have Bush, whom would you consider the cowards in this tale, that would be Congress as Bush definately has by passed the point of which we should say enough. I'm thinking of taking bets as to whether Bush stays in office his remaining years. (Hugs) Indigo
